Default My bike so far...

I've been wanting to post some pix of my bike on here for some time but only now am finally getting around to it.

I originally planned on buying a Ducati Monster S2R Dark in 2005 but put it on hold because of an upcoming deployment to the middle-east. I couldn't find one or even a 2006 when I got back home as they were all sold out in Cali. I ended up getting a 2007 S2R800 in Black.

The following is what I upgraded/modded on the bike in the first half of 2007:

Modded Skull from my lighter and attached to fairing
Modded Dragon Pin and attached to short tail
Painted "Ducati Performance" on Tank Cover/Bag with Black Fabric Paint
Painted and attached 3-button Mini Garage door opener to top of Gaugepod
Blacked out windshield with flat black paint
Painted Chrome Headlight Bezel Flat Black
Moved "Ducati Monster S2R" plate from side panels to exhaust cans

By March 2008 I made the following mods (then went to Kuwait as a civilian contractor):

CF Lower Fork Guards (http://www.carbonfiberman.com)
CF Hand Guards (http://www.rpmcomposites.com)
Monsterparts Adjustable Levers modified into shorties (think I'm going to upgrade to the Pazzos)
ProGrip Lever Skins
Ducster900's CF Shifter Rod
Wrapped forks with black athletic grip tape

I went home for a month in April 2009 and made the following modifications:

Replaced/rerouted right side oil cooler line with the longer Hypermotard cooler line (http://www.sacramentomotorcycles.com)
Satin Black rattlecanned the passenger peg brackets and exhaust can brackets
Dreamvee "Eyecatcher" Belt Covers (ebay)
Carbon Fiber Heelguard+Heatguard Kit (http://stores.shop.ebay.com/carbonwo...__W0QQ_armrsZ1)
Oberon black foot pegs with metal studs (http://www.streetfightersinc.com/DucatiAccessories.htm)
Metisse Oil Cooler Radiator Cover (http://www.streetfightersinc.com/DucatiAccessories.htm)
GSG-Moto Universal Rear Brake Reservoir (http://www.streetfightersinc.com/BrakeReservoirs.htm)

All the following items I got from Monsterparts (http://www.monsterparts.com)
Carbon Fiber Rear Brake Pump Cover
Corsair Industries Black Anodized Billet Brake & Clutch covers
MFW Adjustable Footpeg Adapters (1/8" machined off to make the Oberon footpegs mount snugly)
Carbon Fiber Exhaust High Mount Bracket
Marving Cat Eliminator Mid-pipe

The last three items listed above were probably some of the best mods I've made. My feet position is much better than stock. The utter is finally gone plus a little more growl has been added to my exhaust. It seems a little rich but I will get it adjusted when I install the TPO Velocity Stacks on the next go-round. The cans are now mounted a little closer in and I think I am going to have the right side passenger peg bracket machined to match the left side as it bothers me the way it doesn't match the other side and I now have all kinds of space and able to move it in to match.

In June I went home for a week prior to heading out to the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, and then finally Afghanistan.
While home I made the following changes:

Removed rear CF mudguard since the exhaust was now rubbing because of the tighter mounting position.
Dariuslab Carbon Fiber Swingarm cover (http://shop.ebay.com/dariuslab/m.htm...1&_from=&_ipg=)
Covered front brake lines with black wire wrap/loom

I'm going to have to change out the leftside oil cooler line with one from a Hypermotard. The silver one looks out of place.
Also thinking about shortening the cans by about 5 or 6 inches.
The MT-01 headlight I ordered hadn't arrived so it will have to wait till the next time I'm home (along with a few other mods ;) ).

Thanks. I plan on making a few small mods when I go home to visit in a couple weeks. Hopefully I'll have time to install the MT-01 headlight. I am going to try and get an appointment with A&S Motorsports in Sacramento to have it done by them as my time is short and I want to get it done right and quick while I'm home.

Sacramento Motorsports used to be the only local Ducati Dealership till just recently. Now A&S is an alternative Ducati Dealership with Ducati certified mechanic. There is also MotoWheels nearby which carries a lot of Ducati and Third Party parts for Ducs. I bought just the first batch of items from Sac Moto when I purchased the bike but have searched high and low, far and wide for many of the other parts and have even started using A&S for most of my services.

I went home for a couple weeks in December 2009 and finally had the MT-01 headlight installed by A&S (http://ducati-motorcycles.ascycles.com/index.htm)
I also had them install:
Vizi-Tec Novastar HSi Taillight (http://www.vizi-tec.com/products/ducati_supanova.html)
Duccutter's kickstand Ducfoot (http://www.duccutters.com/DucCuttersLimited.tpl)
Super 29 LED Signal Lights (Black) (http://stores.ebay.com/LuckyBike-accessories)
New set of Michelin Pilot Road II Tires
New set of Brake pads

When I got the bike back from them I then installed:
Motovation Universal Fit Barend Weights/Sliders (http://www.motovationusa.com/mvstore...?idProduct=304)
Motrax Mini reversible bar end mirrors (http://www.motrax.eu/item3568.htm)
Pazzo Adjustable Levers & Progrip Lever Skins (ebay)
CF: Ignition cover, Rear Chain Guard, Key Guards (http://www.monsterparts.com)
CF Framework Protection (http://66.196.80.202/babelfish/trans...41aeb6ca3c3b9e)
CF Alternator, Engine, and Clutch covers (http://www.dariuslab.com)
Ducati logo silver sticker 3D for clutch cover (http://store.proitalia.com/9815460x0.html)

I had also ordered the Driven Racing Carbon Fiber wrapped Aluminum Handlebars (http://www.motowheels.com) but they were not an exact swap for the originals. The center section was longer and the grip sections were shorter causing issues with fitting the coffin reservoirs and reinstalling the handguard mounts impossible. I gave them to my son-in-law and will try to reorder a better matched set at a later date.

The new headlight required some modification to the headlight mounting system and left me without a place to mount the windshield fairing. The Pazzo Levers also caused issues with the mounting brackets for the handguards. I am currently running the bike without both but will make some bracket mods at a later date in order to be able to install the fairing and handguards back on.

Had my son-in-law drop off the bike at the shop to get forks upgraded with Traxxion GP Racing internals setup for my weight. Definately a great upgrade that makes the bike ride much smoother.
Also had them install a replacement DP topmount steering damper. This one is black, the last one was silver and crapped out on me.
Had the kickstand redone so that the ducfoot would lay flat on the ground.
Had the swingarm and some other bits powdercoated and the camshaft covers polished.
Had the exhaust ceramic coated black.
Had them install a CNC billet gascap to replace the OEM cap.

The bike wasn't ready for pickup when I got home, so much of what I wanted to do myself couldn't be done due to lack of time. I got the bike back a few days before I had to head back overseas and only got a couple of days of riding in compared to the three weeks I was looking forward to.

Still haven't gotten the bike put on the dyno as time was short.

I took the tank bra in to Award Interiors in Sacramento and had them modify the bra and mount some retro Ducati Wing Tank badges.

I rerouted a few wires but still see more I want to clean up.

I mounted the new handguard brackets and handguards back on the bike. Will definately be lowering and tilting back the windscreen. It still looks like it sticks too far up and forward for my liking.

Still have the following items in the garage to be modified/mounted next time I am home:
Raask Laverda Style Adjustable Clubman Bars (still need some bar clamps made to accomodate 22mm bars)
3m Dry Carbon vinyl to wrap the forks, and to cover the chrome on the headlight, possibly even the center part of the gaugepod.
Dariuslab CF cover piece that hides the wires between the gaugepod and top triple.
Diamond-cut black powdercoated grill material to be cut and mounted in all the vent openings of the CF pieces similar to the silver diamondcut grill material in the belt cover openings.
Driven Silver D-3 grips and a new set of grip puppies for the black part of the grips.

Was not able to take any great pictures but here are a few I took just before leaving:
